RekryTreffit recruitment dates
RekryTreffit recruitment dates are free recruitment events hosted by the City of Turku. We organise them for companies in the Turku region every Tuesday throughout the year. In addition to jobseekers, each event features a single company looking to hire several new employees. The available positions may include permanent, part-time or seasonal work.
We extensively inform jobseekers about the events, and participation is always voluntary for those who are invited. After we have introduced the employer and the vacancies, the employer has a chance to interview the jobseekers who have turned up.
We have been organising RekryTreffit dates since 2022, and companies from several different sectors have participated in them. Many jobseekers have landed a new job right after the event, and companies have quickly found employees who meet their needs. More than 2,500 jobseekers have participated in the events, and the feedback from all sides has been positive.

Hiring a young person with a summer job voucher
The City of Turku’s summer job vouchers are intended for young Turku residents born between 2006 and 2009. Employers hiring a young person with a summer job voucher are eligible for a subsidy worth EUR 320. Summer job vouchers are meant for organising a summer job for the young resident of Turku named on the voucher. The value of the voucher is paid to the employer afterwards to cover part of the young person's salary costs.

Pay subsidies for employers
Turku Supplement for Employers
Turku Supplement for Employers is aimed at associations, foundations or registered religious communities hiring an unemployed Turku resident who has received labour market support due to unemployment lasting more than 300 days. The purpose of the Turku Supplement is to enhance the work-related skills and capabilities of the subsidised worker.
The employee’s working hours must be at least 20 hours a week. Turku Supplement is not granted if the employer has received other labour policy subsidies (excluding pay subsidy). An employer can receive the subsidy for the same employee only once.
The subsidy is paid on a discretionary basis. It consists of a basic component and an additional component. The basic component is EUR 1,500. The amount of the additional component depends on the duration of unemployment. It may be granted on a discretionary basis if the employment condition is met, and reports on improving work-related skills and future employment opportunities have been submitted. You can apply for the subsidy by sending an application to Työpiste through the Suomi.fi service or by encrypted email to turkulisa@turku.fi. The subsidy is paid through the PSOP service system for service vouchers and outsourced services.
Employee training and apprenticeships
Apprenticeship
Apprenticeship training allows you to recruit and train new employees, or train existing personnel. An apprenticeship is a fixed-term employment and training agreement between an employer and a student. The studies are mainly carried out at the workplace through practical tasks. In addition, apprenticeships include theoretical studies at an educational institution.

Joint procurement training
Joint procurement training allows you to train your current or future employees. The employer and Employment Services plan and finance the training together.
